Volunteering

Occupational Health and Safety

Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre is committed to providing a safe work place for all staff and volunteers, and ask that volunteers take their responsibility for work safety seriously.
  • Volunteers should sign the Volunteer sign in/out booklet in the front office so people are aware of their presence in the building
  • Volunteers must conform to occupational health and safety requirements.

  • All volunteers will be given a copy of the emergency evacuation procedures for the building.
  • Volunteers and staff are expected to report any likely dangerous situations immediately.
  • No volunteers should work in the building alone
  • Volunteers are responsible for taking all reasonable steps to ensure they are aware of the inherent risks associated with their work and for taking appropriate action to minimise or eliminate such risks.

  • A no smoking policy applies.
